That harness has two connectors for the nozzles, one for GND, one for power in fuse box, and one for temp sensor. The temp sensor connector is plugged into the sensor I have glued to side of reservoir.

Here is what I think is going on.

If you DID NOT have the "winter package", you wire it as Cali-Ti says.

If you Do have the winter package, then you end up with two points at which temp sensors can be mounted. I could tie the two sets of wires together, the wires going to the brake duct, and the wires going to my reservoir sensor, but I don't like that idea. As it stands, the reservoir fluid will be plenty cold when the car is cold, and the nozzles will heat based on the fluid temp, instead of the air temp.

The reservoir sensor is not submersed, it is glued to the OUTSIDE of the tank.

I guess the comment by the dealership is incorrect. Winter package, if it exists, does NOT include heated nozzles, but does include heated locks and mirrors.

aha! i thought you cut a hole and hot glued it into that hole. if you wanted to then, you could likely remove the hot glue and move it to the brake duct ... or you could always leave it where it is

I was always under the impression that both the nozzles and the reservoir were heated. I seem to remember little melted circles around the nozzles on frosty morns, but I could be wrong. At any rate, I need to do something with mine because I think I'm not getting heat anymore. So, now the question is whether it's the nozzles or the reservoir.

I'd rather not cut a hole and put another sensor beside the one already in the brake duct. Reservoir fluid will get cold, just as the air temp will. The sensor will do it's job as mounted just fine.

True, but since you use most often when starting the car, the fluid would be just as cold.

If I ever care that much, I'll cut another hole.

I found in the garage, the nozzles I removed to do this upgrade. They are heated after all.



I also thought that the reservoir was heated, but it turns out the device I mounted on the side of the reservoir was a sensor, not a heater. Still no confirmation that heated reservoir exists. So why even bother adding this "Euro only" retrofit, when I already had heated nozzles?

Is it possible that the "Euro only" option was for the headlight washer jets? Those were optional over there, but we never got them here. Steven has them on his car IIRC, maybe his are heated?

That part # crosses to a Euro only set of heated jets, but my original jets looked heated too. What is the final answer on heated jets being stock on some US models?

I just changed those this weekend and I also have the heated ones. While the new heated ones have two intake tubes only one needs to be connected. The part was changed when newer models were introduced that use two tubes but the second tube isnt necessary everything still works as it should.
