If there is still interest in a GB for more kits, the new minimum is 15 (we had 15 orders last time including a couple of friends of mine). Price is $150 + shipping still, after payment, it took 3 days for shipment last time to me, and 2-3 days from me to the members. It was a pleasant experience and I'll post some pics from my kit. I am very impressed with mine, and I'm sure the other members will be as well. Manufacturer is Eagle Technologies in Guangzhou, China. Color temps are 4.3k, 5k, 6k, 8k, and higher if needed with all bulb types available. DS2 kits are $15 more than the others, so add $15 if you want one of them.

How hard was the install to the Depo headlights? I need to find some money, to good of a deal to pass up.

I didn't realize they cost that much. You don't need to take apart the Depos to mount the HID kits do you?

We decided to go with Eagle because of their superior warranty compared to the other companies. They use Japanese sourced parts in their ballasts which we preferred. You do need to take the Depos apart... sort of. Basically you need to drill a hole in the plastic covering that opens up and use the grommet to keep out moisture. It's pretty straight forward though.

Here's the procedure:
1. Take cover off Depos (this is for both highs and lows)
2. Drill hole large enough to fit connectors through and fit grommet securely inside hole
3. Insert H1 bulb HID and run wiring originally going to the H1 bulb out through the new wire and grommet to the ballast, run the wire from the ballast up back through the grommet and back to the light housing
4. Wire the wires from the ballast to the new H1 HID
5. Replace cover, attach ballast to the bumper

Are they street legal? I remember reading something about some of these HID kids not being street legal and having the light not shine in a correct pattern.. think it was a link to a video on here somewhere..

With the stock US lights they are illegal. In fact with any lights they are illegal because they will not self-level. In all practicality though, the Euro lights will suffice because they project in a well defined beam pattern. The US lights won't though, and oncoming traffic will be subjected to oncoming glare. This is why either you should get them to replace the high beams (still illegal but nobody will be affected by it negatively) or get euro lights.

I saw sellers on Ebay sellingh HID bulbs. They are claiming that you just swap the bulbs and get the higher temperature HID advantage. This whole HID thing is so confusing.

Are you talking about xenon look-alike bulbs or real HID's with ballasts? You can get them for $130 or so on eBay I think, but with flaky warranty and stuff.

I currently have Euro Ellipsoid Projectors, will the HID system be an easy install on that? Sorry, i'm kinda illiterate with the whole lighting thing.

Definately, all you gotta do is drill a hole in the back of the low beam side and then just run the wires out. If you need help give me a call.

So if I get the depo headlights they wouldn't be classified as illegal? I'd hate to get pulled over for these if I bought them. I was thinking 6000k or 8000k on lowbeam side.

About drilling into the depos. I was looking at the pictures, is there a piece that seals it tight into the hole after you make room for it? Or can you just pop it in there and have it stay in place with no wiggles.

Depos are technically illegal, but there is no way I can think of for anyone to know. This applies to NJ only. Check your state laws if you're not sure.

About drilling, you need to drill in and it seals itself tightly.
