It seems like every place either doesn't carry them, or doesn't have them in stock? I've read somewhere here that people have used M3 injectors? I need to pass smog, and I have a clog that is causing me to fail the 15mph NO test. everything else passes with flying colors. Theory is partially blocked injector. Thanks, tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 09-07-2010, 04:13 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Golden, CO Posts: 283 | Idk the difference between M44 and M42 injectors but I have a set from my running M42 for sale if you are interested. __________________ e46 325 brake upgrade, Dinan engine chip, UUC SS brake lines, UCC rotors, m68 17in wheels, Conti extreme contacts, Billstein sport shocks, H&R springs, M3 shock mounts, B&B triflow exhaust, K&N cone filter, Magnecor 8.5 wires, Meyle control arms with caster , Hawk ceramic pads, Understeer M3 SSK, UUC SS clutch line, 320 trans mounts. | | | 09-07-2010, 04:52 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 340 | Well I have another set of injectors that I would love to rebuild, but I don't have the time and need to get my car smogged. The car is running fine as-is... great, in fact, it just doesn't pass the 15mph test. So I'm looking for a new or rebuilt set immediately to pass smog. tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 09-07-2010, 09:29 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 340 | In case anyone else ends up in this same boat: www.witchhunter.com $19 per injector, flow tested, rebuilt, then flow tested again, and you get to see the before and after results. Pretty sweet! tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 09-07-2010, 10:47 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: South Central, MN Posts: 1,065 | That's cheaper than the last set I had rebuilt. First of all, the injectors are at five o motorsports are $50 fir 1 set of 4. Check the link. And 50 x 4 = 200 dollars. | | | 09-14-2010, 04:53 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 340 | 1. Why would the two quantities listed as available be 1/set and 4/set? Who orders 4 sets of fuel injectors? Take a look at the BMW injectors page: http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/fuel-injectors/bmw the pricing is around $40-50 an injector. 2. Five-o motorsports made me think of mustangs. Screw mustangs, I'm a chevy guy. 3. If the pricing were $50 ea, it would make perfect sense that a set of 4 would have a slight discount. hence $180. tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
