I was surprised to see the new ones don't exactly fit as nice as the old ones. Are there preferred sites or places you get parts for these cars? I got the lights from am-autoparts. 1996 318ti California top | | | 04-28-2017, 05:13 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Doesn't the corner light slide into the headlight? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-28-2017, 06:25 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2017 Location: Maryland Posts: 27 | Yes it does, and I did slide it into it. It just seems like it's off too much to me. | | | 04-28-2017, 07:27 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: MD Posts: 126 | I remember there are a few pins that need to line up to get it to sit correctly. Especially the one on the back of the light that fits into a sheet metal tab with a hole in it. Maybe double check it to make sure it all gets lined up? Sometimes the pin on the light breaks off too. __________________ '96 318ti Base - few mods installed... | | | 04-29-2017, 02:15 AM | #5 | Z3 Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Usa Posts: 660 | Did you move the adjusting posts when you removed/installed the screw/bolts? That's what it looks like to me... __________________ Frederic 1997 318Ti M-Tech & 1999 Z3 2.8 | | | 05-07-2017, 09:58 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2017 Location: Maryland Posts: 27 | Thanks guys, the old one lost its pin and the new one was not oem but does have the pin. It's on there and is secure, works fine. Just not what it looked like originally. | | | 05-13-2017, 11:12 PM | #7 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT!
