I'm going to breeze over this as I am making some assumptions on your case. If I had to to this swap, I would take the harness from the M42 engine and connect it to the M44 engine. There will be some un-used sensors on the newer engine, but they should not be a problem. What is of greater concern is that the ne engine has the old engine sensors instaled, or the signals might me wrong for the older ECU. The newer sensors will be 'better' but not better for your application if they are calibrated on a different curve, or worse, if the operate at a different voltage they could damage the ECU. |
