Do a search for turbo on this site, you'll find some results. You will still need a radiator with a turbo, in fact you'll probably need a larger radiator to handle the additional heat. Superchargers seem to work best on BMW motors, the few turbo kits out there are good starting points, but require additional work to get them tuned properly. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 04-14-2006, 02:18 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: boston Posts: 142 | __________________ HIOP TWINSCREW w/aftercooler water to air, 3.73 lsd, ported headdone, performence valve springs w/titanium retainersinstalled..nitrous kitinstalled fun fun X brace installed5th injector w/ piggyback controler, high flow cat | | | 04-14-2006, 03:35 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | You're going to need to add an intercooler unless you like predetonation and haven't you already asked this atleast once | | | 04-14-2006, 03:44 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: boston Posts: 142 | Quote: Originally Posted by GDB You're going to need to add an intercooler unless you like predetonation and haven't you already asked this atleast once | intake insulation is good for the heat!! heat shields http://www.federal-mogul.com/vgn/ima...WebVersion.PDF retard control timing, the msd dis-4 has it.... ebay has a few.... Also has a seperate retard for nitrous, thats right when you switch on the nitrous it retards the ignition.. I got this from MSD "After viewing the wiring diagrams for your car the only MSD box that would work with your application is the msd DIS-4 the wiring diagrams can be found here- http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/62112_62152_frm25956.pdf " __________________ HIOP TWINSCREW w/aftercooler water to air, 3.73 lsd, ported headdone, performence valve springs w/titanium retainersinstalled..nitrous kitinstalled fun fun X brace installed5th injector w/ piggyback controler, high flow cat | | | 04-14-2006, 05:45 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Muncie, Indiana Posts: 1,551 | when I was inquiring about that is the same box I was referred to. Tube length is not very important if all are less than a foot. Especially driving a turbo which does not allow for much in the way of scavenging due to gas speed. As a matter of fact a log manifold would make fitting easier I suspect... There aint much room in there.... There was a kit available (Mosselman or something) and somebody on the Yahoo group tried this with a manifold from one of the turbo diesel models. | | | 04-20-2006, 02:32 AM | #15 | Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Posts: 44 | merkur whow babe - MERKUR!!!! -that's a blast from the past Merkur - I prepped a few german ford capri V6 units when I was a about 20 years younger - rough runners, but gave corvettes a hell of time, and standard too - always wanted to do a Scorpio, but TOOO much $$$$$$$$$$$ D&D | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
