Default 318ti suspension

I have just brought a 318ti 1995. The ride quality seems very harsh, I think the car may have been lowered as the springs are red in colour and the car seems very low.

Does anyone know if the standard springs are red.

Thanks

Stock springs are all black, with a wipe of colored paint to distinguish them quickly. The stock springs also have the part number stamped on them.

Stock M3 front springs have a pink swipe, and the Euro M3 springs have a white swipe if memory serves...
