I want to buy Bilstein, and was leaning toward HD but I really don't want to spend $700 on shocks. It's just a daily driver. No racing anymore and no aggressive driving. How much difference is there between the stock Bilstein B4's and the HD Bilstein B6's? Its quite a price break. I still have the stock shocks on my car and have always been happy with them. What do you all think? Would the B4 Bilstein OE replacements fit for me? | | | 12-30-2015, 08:09 PM | #2 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Cary, NC Posts: 39 | And I'm stuck again. I have the active model. But no clue on the suspension. Bilstein B4 OEM replacements are either standard suspension or sport suspension. How do I tell? | | | 01-08-2016, 06:26 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Mar 2014 Location: Paterson NJ Posts: 39 | Why don't u just get sachs? Nowhere near $700. If it's a daily driver then it's the best to go back to original factory ride, no? So I rolled the dice on some Vaico shocks and struts from ECS. $200 for all 4 corners. No complaints, haha. | | | 01-19-2016, 07:05 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | Sachs should be fine for how you now use the car...just my opinion. Bilstein HD's fit OEM springs. Bilstein Sports only fit lowering springs.
