Everything has been replaced with BMW parts in the last two years. The car runs perfectly. The trans is a bit beat, with 185,000 hard miles with really no maintenance.

11 seconds isn't too bad since the 0-60 for a NEW stock 5 speed is like 8.6-8.9. And like I mentioned, I don't think the app is too accurate.

Today, I autocrossed the ti, and was pleased with the results.

Any metal particles in the old fluid? You have a quaife right? Strange that one of those would have locking issues, maybe a bearing is going bad?
I read elsewhere 35 ft lbs too.
I'll know for the next one.
Yes, it's a Quaife. No particles. The fluid looked brand new, just smelled bad.
I'll pull it out over the winter and have it rebuilt.

Took it out to meet two other ti's...

And afterwards, I wrapped up the cooling system re-do on my project ti... Everything went great, no leaks, no issues, but I lost the bleeder screw cap somehow...

My new ti project has 235,000 miles, yet still purrs like a kitten...

Actually done last Sunday.
  • Swapped the Style 27's for a set of Style 18's on my 95 Sport
  • Replaced the Rad, cap, water pump, upper rad hose and belts on my 97 Sport.
  • Drained, flushed and filled the system with fresh 50/50 BMW coolant
  • Ordered a Magic Mender leather repair kit for both cars and the 540it
  • Ordered smoked corner lenses for the 97.

What part of OZ you from? I have a "bikie" Mate that lives just East of Perth that was here visiting last year, I still have his Custom Harley in my garage.

Haha, the originals had been hit too many times and looked shocking.

rolled it over 186K this week, more than halfway to 187 now. And the PS pump seems to have taken a ****. I hope it's not raining too much Saturday. One day off and get to work on the damn car.

Just got around to re-installing the under dashboard bits that I took out to retro-fit a cruise control. My wire mesh grille project is coming along, too. I'm trying to jazz up my base model front bumper a little without it looking tacky. We'll just have to see.
