If its about the DASC, then now, it was made to run with a completely stock system, so you're definitely fine. And pnosker: pm'd and emailed you. __________________ She's no longer mine, but I gotta keep the pic Current euro: Black MkIII VW Gti VR6 | | | 06-27-2009, 09:36 PM | #9 | Banned Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Louisville Posts: 25 | Yea im talking about the extra hp/tq the DASC makes =) What is better Turbo or Supercharger for over all HP | | | 06-27-2009, 09:52 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Odenton, MD Posts: 419 | Quote: Originally Posted by MannyBMW Alright but i want ULTIMATE horses i found a turbo kit for my beamer free shipping $650 and he said it will give me MORE horses than a supercharger my car is rear wheel drive i dont want torque cause my cause doesnt weigh much and i just want which ever will give me OVERALL more HP what do u think? | There are so many things wrong with this... A good turbo kit will cost you much more than $650. Do you have a link to this kit so we can take a look at it? Your car isn't light. Most BMWs aren't light. Over 2000lbs is not light. Horsepower is a measurement of torque - the two are not independent. "Torque is what twists the tire, prop, or pump. Horsepower helps us understand an amount or quantity of torque. (Torque + time and distance)" http://www.revsearch.com/dynamometer...orsepower.html All BMWs are at least RWD, and for what it's worth, that shouldn't be a factor into how much power you want (though it can be easier to put down higher power levels with RWD vs FWD). You want "ultimate horses", sell the car and buy a ranch. | | | 06-27-2009, 10:20 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Odenton, MD Posts: 419 | Quote: Originally Posted by MannyBMW | Cheap Chinese turbo, no exhaust manifold, generic kit. But if the supercharger will give me more horses to win a race... lets drop an Eaton in this beast =) | | | 06-27-2009, 10:29 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | u need an turbo manifold to run turbo the 3" headers dont work with the turbo __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 06-27-2009, 10:32 PM | #15 | Banned Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Louisville Posts: 25 | BMW But i already have all the manifold work welded on its RACING headers... Why wont it work unless its turbo manifold...cause i paid alot of money to get a racing header put on for more HP and more air flow going through my mass flow system...id RATHER stick with what i have...If i go Supercharger would i need new Manifold/headers? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
