I want to buy a supercharger for my 318ti its of course a 5 speed i have done racing intake to it as well as Racing headers with 3" piping all the way to the exhaust.... BUT i want MORE!!! can someone provide some info on where i might get a nice supercharger for the M44 engine 1.9 liter ?? i want to purchase one from Downing Atlanta, (which they make superchargers specifically for the beamers) But idk if there are more powerful ones out there or more fit for the Car...please write back thanks! for our engines the best way to go is supercharger, some people tried turbos and they fail, so the best way to go is supercharger

But what do u think about my theory which will be better overall for our cars? Oh and i have stock injectors and pistons and such... is it true that i will need to upgrade and get better and new parts for the engine so it can hold all the horses? (if so what brand is best and where can i get them) PLEASE help me!!!

Sorry, Manny, but...wrong thread? Or are you talking about to handle the extra hp/tq the DASC makes? If its about the DASC, then now, it was made to run with a completely stock system, so you're definitely fine.

And pnosker: pm'd and emailed you.

There are so many things wrong with this...

A good turbo kit will cost you much more than $650. Do you have a link to this kit so we can take a look at it?

Your car isn't light. Most BMWs aren't light. Over 2000lbs is not light.

Horsepower is a measurement of torque - the two are not independent.

"Torque is what twists the tire, prop, or pump. Horsepower helps us understand an amount or quantity of torque. (Torque + time and distance)"
http://www.revsearch.com/dynamometer...orsepower.html

All BMWs are at least RWD, and for what it's worth, that shouldn't be a factor into how much power you want (though it can be easier to put down higher power levels with RWD vs FWD).

You want "ultimate horses", sell the car and buy a ranch.

Cheap Chinese turbo, no exhaust manifold, generic kit. Do you have any fabrication skills? Welding?

If not, go buy another car, seriously. If you want a M3, go buy one.

I already have racing headers manifold with 3" piping all the way to the exhaust from the headers =) So i dont need any manifolds or downpipes... i just want the turbo kit. But if the supercharger will give me more horses to win a race... lets drop an Eaton in this beast =)

But i already have all the manifold work welded on its RACING headers... Why wont it work unless its turbo manifold...cause i paid alot of money to get a racing header put on for more HP and more air flow going through my mass flow system...id RATHER stick with what i have...If i go Supercharger would i need new Manifold/headers?
