Default So what did YOU do with your sunday afternoon?

I spent the afternoon tearing apart, and rebuilding our Craftsman riding lawnmower. It hasnt run in probably 2 years, but we have alot of gravel to move and the wheelbarrow is getting tiring real quick.

SOOO... I got the task of fixing it!

Started by adding fuel, which promptly dumped all over the ground. Apparently there was a crack in the bottom of the tank. To move it from the backyard to the driveway, i filled a spray bottle with fuel and squirted it in the carb while my sister drove! Of course she made redneck wisecracks the whole time.

Tore the carb out, and cleaned it.

Pulled the gas tank and patched it up.

I pulled what seemed like 87 cubic feet of spiderwebs, pine needles and dirt from under the chassis! And 3 HUGE black widdows..

Dropped the mower deck and adjusted the belt drive, mickey moused the brake switch so it would run, and tuned the carb.

Open headers! Im sure the neighbors loved me..

Finally, a day of dirty work later, shes all(mostly) good to go.

Still need to adjust the idle, and figure out the stupid mechanical/vaccum/whatever rev limiter. But she'll haul some dirt for now!

Drop, clears & LTW's and you're in there. J/K looks like a fun project. I spent the day laying down trying to recover. Seems that I hurt my back somehow, but I dunno how. May be getting old, may be getting fat, all I know is it hurts like hell. Went to lunch with a buddy @ Seaward Fish & Chips(best onion rings/fish in town). Came home and laid down. Thought about pulling the Ti out of the garage to clean the engine bay, but didn't want to deal with pushing it back up the driveway. Did some gardening shortly before dinner and now I have a nice little bonfire buring in my backyard with some good tunes playing, just came in to fix myself a drink. Happy Sunday guys!

Craftsman? What's that? Is that a new BMW? What model is that?

Edit: 19hp?! Damn. I'm guessing with that much weight, it must pull hard!

ROFL! Im not gonna lie, while under there, i was trying to figure how to re-gear it to speed it up! I am going to rig up a 9006 bulb socket for the headlights too, since one of the holders is cracked and it barely puts out light anyways. Maybe a projector retrofit??

The local burlesque group was doing a charity car wash, so I had my car washed. I didn't notice that they missed the whole top of the car until it was dry. LOL But, still... a bunch of chicks in bikini's... yum. I can't decide whether to post a pic or not. LOL
