Default belt tensioner

Is the belt tensioner for the air-conditioning a left-handed thread?

I sheared off a 1/4 ratchet thinking it is a right handed tread.

I have found a lot of information saying clockwise but I am not sure witch direction they are standing and I think they may be indicating how to remove the tension from the belt.

Is it a left handed thread?

Thanks for the help

Yes, the clockwise refers to removing tension from the belt. The bolt that goes through the center of the pulley is a normal righty tighty lefty loosey bolt. Use a bigger ratchet.

I got the new belts on.

I thought it was a reverse thread because the ratchet sheared off in the scocket.
It is a normal thread but the problem was I was using a small ¼ ratchet made in China..
