She turns over!!!

I currently don't have the aem plugged in yet just waiting on a couple things before I plug it in.

I do however have a working fuel system, and it turns over with the key!

This weekend the motor finally got it's first drink of oil, and it cranks over. I am pretty excited, mostly nervous though.

I want to hear it start up and idle on thursday! But I make no promises.

How difficult was the M50 swap? I don't know if I accidently skimmed over it while reading the thread (read half at different times) but you're going from an m42 95, correct? I'm thinking about doing an M50 or S50 swap and then going with forced induction a little later down the road

Haven't been able to touch it since I posted that last reply. Won't touch it until beginning of August. So at this point it still doesn't start, but I should be getting a base map figured out when I get back.

Soon though guys, I'm in no huge rush!!

Thanks!

PS> Tyler... I'd search for the swap manual if I were you, I really couldn't give you all the details, but I know they are all out there somewhere. Also when you finish the swap, the whole FI part of it is like any e36 6cyl so you can get help from the Bimmerforums there!

Car is running obviously, were getting into boost now low rpm pulls.

It's at 4-5 psi on the 3psi wastegate spring, and feels amazing rev limiter is set at 6000rpm, I have taken it to 6500 without any boost a couple times to get the rings to seat. Were going to check the timing drift again tomorrow at higher rpms to double check, and I will probably put the 6psi spring in it.

Like Bubela said 1st and 2nd are going to be useless until I get some better rubber.

Currently running 111 octane race gas at 7 bucks a gallon, so I'm eager to get it tuned for E85 soon, as I have been spending almost a dollar a mile in gasoline.
