Default o2 sensor question

my wife's car turned on the check engine light yesterday. I scanned the code and got P0130, oxygen sensor malfunction. Any idea which one that is? Should I replace both? Where's the cheapest place to order one?

Thanks

Reset the light and wait for it to come back on. Some people have had luck pulling the O2 sensor out and cleaning it. Otherwise, spend the $65 and replace it.

I already reset the light, the gas milage jumped from 24 to 26 in just 1 day, so maybe there's something to that. I'll wait till the light comes back on before buying anything, just curious if it was the front or rear one.

Has anyone bought universal o2 sensors and spliced them in to our cars? I'm guessing that will be a lot cheaper than the ones I've found with the proper connectors.

My car did this and it was a crack in the rubber boot from the MAF to the throttle body... Of course I figured this out AFTER I spent the 125 bucks on the 95 ti manual O2 sensor
The rubber boot was 25 bucks from the dealer.... Likely the cheapest thing I'll buy besides the window sliders.

Actually another member told me his car had similar symptoms and this was the cause, I checked and sure enough mine had it too. I verified it by simply duct taping the tube "end to end" and the problem went away, then I bought the new part the next day. The MAF is the gizmo attached to the air filter box the big rubber bellows tube connects it to the intake manifold at the throttle body.
