The Z4 has a more distinct style. It handles as a real hard core sports car. 3 series convertible is just not standing out on style and handling. However, what is affordable probably is a E30 convertible nowadays. __________________ 1998 BMW 318ti M-Tech Sport Silver (Gone to member leeko617) CURRENT: 2015 BMW X1, 2004 BMW 330ci Convertible, 1998 Porsche Boxster, 2001 BMW 525i Touring GONE: 2000 Audi A4, 2002 VW Passat, 1985 VW Cabriolet | | | 09-01-2006, 04:59 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 218 | not a big fan of convertibles, and I don't like the 3 series convertibles much at all... Z4 is sexier than Z3, so Z4 wins. | | | 09-01-2006, 06:53 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Virginia Posts: 247 | I guess I would have to take the 3 series. The Z3 looks like The Batmobile, and the Z4 is only slightly better... like a stretched out Batmobile. I personally would never drive any convertible, exept maybe a 69 caddy or something... I just don't think guys look good in convertibles... __________________ Silver 98 318ti Standard trans, Sport Package: 16" Stock Wheels, Foglamps, Sunroof, Heated Leather Seats, Bilstein performance shocks, OEM Sach's clutch kit, Dunlop SP Sport A2 225/50/16 tires, Alpine CDA 7894, Dual Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, Rockford Fosgate Amp, Leather Armrest, Replaced M44 engine with only 40k on it! http://www.geocities.com/evalha/bmwsmaller.JPG | | | 09-01-2006, 07:36 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: New Jersey Posts: 363 | I am a big fan of convertibles, and for this I have to go for the z4. It just seems more put together than the z3, plus the design is more modern. I do like the 3series convertibles as well, but the fun factor of the z4 greatly outweighs the occupancy load of the 3 series. Z4 it is. __________________ RIP Tonka Hitlerietta 08/03/04 - 01/25/05 | | | 09-01-2006, 08:26 PM | #10 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | If Bmw's made T-Tops i'd vote for them.. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 09-02-2006, 06:50 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | see, I love convertables.. and I do not care what people thinking about how a guy "looks" in one.. they are great fun! Eventually I will finish my Fiat 124 Sport Spider and have it back on the road for all the warm summer weather. Out of the three, the Z4 won, but only by a tiny bit.. it has a nicer interior than the Z3 | | | 09-02-2006, 06:52 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: SoCal Posts: 549 | z1. just had to throw that into the mix haha. def z4/z3 over the 3series verts. __________________ 318Ti Sport (Gone, but thanks for your years of service) | M3 E30 | 190E-16V | M Coupe E36/8 | | | 09-05-2006, 10:29 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Boston MA Posts: 221 | Quote: Originally Posted by AutoM3otives z1. just had to throw that into the mix haha. def z4/z3 over the 3series verts. | What is Z1?
