Do you have any existing maps for an OBD1 M42 with a DASC? | | | 09-21-2010, 03:50 PM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Ottawa Posts: 579 | anybody that is serious about the maf conversion should send me a email to midnight-tuning@rogers.com this way I can keep track of numbers no maps for DASC sorry | | | 09-21-2010, 04:28 PM | #33 | Member Join Date: Sep 2010 Location: Wichita, KS Posts: 52 | Email sent, thanks. | | | 09-28-2010, 02:06 AM | #34 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | e-mail sent, too | | | 09-28-2010, 02:27 AM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Ottawa Posts: 579 | Hi folks got your emails ... I won't be able to get going on anything until winter is over here What MAF size did you have in mind guys? This must be a joint decision as I will only be making a chip for one size MAF ... Also if anybody is interested I can do a MAP conversion chip at the same time | | | 09-28-2010, 05:18 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | What about a 70mm ford MAF? 2.75inches and cheap/readily available. Just don't know enough about them to know if there is a difference in the domestic part and a bosch sensor. For NA, 2.75 is probably more than big enough. | | | 09-28-2010, 08:50 PM | #37 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | I was thinking about the M44 MAF as it would make the connection between the air filter and the intake very easy. While not as cheap as a Ford MAF, used ones are easy to find and new ones are under $250. | | | 09-28-2010, 09:36 PM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | do u have any maps for a m44 na, i have the DINAN software but u know i always want more and more power, maybe a custom tune to make it work with the free flow exhaust, intake, m42 DINAN TB, single coil on plug kit and also some how delete the idle sensor malfuntion cuz is not plug in cuz the m42 only have 1 sensor, m44 has 2. just asking, im gonna need alot of ur help once i install the turbo but thats gonna be later on __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 09-28-2010, 09:50 PM | #39 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Ottawa Posts: 579 | Quote: Originally Posted by Jean H.318TI do u have any maps for a m44 na, i have the DINAN software but u know i always want more and more power, maybe a custom tune to make it work with the free flow exhaust, intake, m42 DINAN TB, single coil on plug kit and also some how delete the idle sensor malfuntion cuz is not plug in cuz the m42 only have 1 sensor, m44 has 2. just asking, im gonna need alot of ur help once i install the turbo but thats gonna be later on | The Dinan tune while yielding more power is still very conservative and what I like to call a generic tune in other words it will be accepted well by all motors even if the motor is not mechanically sound or running at its best for a long list of reasons. I personally take pride in working with my customers on making the best of out every tune I sell and have full support via MSN and re-flashes if needed... Jean H I can certainly meet your need's to your custom setup Email : midnight-tuning@rogers.com Best regards| | | | 09-28-2010, 10:04 PM | #40 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | ^^^ Barrie Jean H has a LM-2 ^^^ He will most likely need TeamViewer help since you are the man with that stuff. That was amazing when you did it all while I sat in my car a just watched you do all the work while telling me what to do on the screen of my laptop like start the car, rev it up, turn it off, etc. Simply unreal... Your the leader on code tuning in my book by taking it to the next level and by far the best to work with. Folks I have received nothing from Barrie to say this. I only got what I paid for which was a excellent tune and he corrected many errors from respected coders. No CEL which I had since I got tuned when I got my Metric motor, this was a free tune not by Metric so we are straight that it wasn't Metric's fault. That is the facts. So far he has eliminated my CEL for adaption errors. Moved me to 60# injectors and now I have excellent non boost drivability. My transition to boost is seamless which I never had. I've boosted 20psi with no Meth on 93 octane. I have to say I'm completely happy with everything I've seen so far. Barrie @ Midnight is quick on changes, accurate with the changes and the code has been a real improvement over the complete RPM range. We are still in the beginning of tuning since we have not logged anything, touched timing or MAF but this has been a real eye opener on how well he is able to write code and how much HP is untapped. I look forward to finishing up the tune in the following weeks. This is also a long distance tune so he is only making changes by my feedback which slows the process and is hard on him. The pricing is great and Barrie has been very knowledgeable and great to work with. I will report back but I say 2 thumbs up for Midnight Tuning. This is OBD-II but he specializes in OBD-I | __________________ SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!
