Calabogie HPDE/Club Race July 17th-19th, 2009

Patroon Chapter BMWCCA and Ottawa Chapter BMWCC are holding a combination
HPDE-Driving school & BMWCCA club race July 17th –19th at Calabogie Motorsports Park near Ottawa Ontario Canada.

Calabogie is an amazing track. 20 turns in 3.05 miles! It is a very challenging track for Novice up to Advanced drivers. If you have not been there it is the type of track where on the way home you suddenly remember where you could have gone faster and want to turn around and go back.

Friday will be available for Open Track, Club racing and Experienced /Advanced students. All student groups and Club racing on Saturday and Sunday.
Entry fees
$425 Canadian plus 5% GST –About $394 US dollars with todays exchange rate for Saturday and Sunday.
$525 Canadian plus 5% GST for all 3 days –About $487 US
Includes a T shirt and Saturday night Dinner

You know --thinking of trying to coerce you there got me thinking.

If you have less than 2 track events ever ( which you only have our Watkins Glen event a few years back Coop) --The entry fee is $350 + 5% GST --Canadian --About $325 US for both Saturday and Sunday.

I was hoping for 4 days at VIR but I have a large home expense coming up.

You missed a good event Lyndon. But--Next year. I am sure we will be going back around the same time too. AND we will have another "beer tasting" --it seemed to go over much better than the wine tasting at the Glen.

Steve, it was a Black TI with NY tags ( and not Lyndon's AKA my old car)
We seem to have had a Ti at every event this year.

AND -- Bogie is worth the trip. We had a couple of guys make the trip from Virginia and they say they are coming back next year and bringing more people. This really is a track everyone needs to go to at one point or another. Of course, I did have to promise I would make a tarheel event at VIR --which I intended to do anyway.

A buddy of mine, (Blue M Coupe VA Tags) said he saw a ti there. I'm always curious. I'm always the lone ti.
