Am checing the vin again too as the hpi came back not matching the vin i put in, to the reg on the car. The reg does come up as a ti compact though.

Nige
its probably got aftermarket rear lights. but the hpi problem sounds a bit dodgy!

316i strangely sell for more than the ti's here

UK compacts didn't come with projector lamps is the first difference.

The DEPOs are basically a replacement set of headlight as a base, they are cheap on their own - about $150 a set. The Predator Chronium rings i had as an option were $170 ish and come with lifetime warranty.

DEPOs tend to come set up for the US so you have to remove the back of the light to reveal the projector assembly. there are 3 screws around the projector itself, loosen all 3, turn them to the other setting, rescrew and you have UK spec lights.

As soon as I got my Ti I changed the original hurricane lamps up front for normal E36 projector lights....way better of course and all standard BMW bits for that smug feeling of quality

Just needed the lamps and the donor cars loom plugs......

Best regards David
