Default Rear bumper movement

I had to tow my sisters’ car (VW Polo) the other day and since then I have found that my rear bumper seems to have moved slightly. The tow ring screws into the rear passenger side of the bumper on my car. The passenger side of the bumper seems to have moved out a couple of inches. It is most noticeable where the bumper meets the wheel arch. The driver’s side seems to be fine though. I am unsure if the drivers side of the bumper has moved in or not? The bumper does not move and is not loose. Has this happened to anyone elses bumper?

How is the rear bumper held in place? I can see the brackets behind the rear wheel arches and I think I can see clips all the way round the bumper that push into a metal thing that sits behind the bumper? Is this what is holding the bumper in place? How is the best way to remove the rear bumper?

Thanks

The bumper is held in place by 2 vertical torx bolts. You can see them easily if you creep under the b. There are clips at both wheels arcs and you also have to unfasten some trim, depending on the model - a fairly easy job anyway. The b also goes back easily

There is two bolts that hold the mount to the car itself. I found on my car one bolt was missing and it pulled the mount side ways. To fix it i had to remove the bumper, put a new bolt in the side that was missing and hit the mount in to the car with a hammer a few times to get it close enough to get the bolt in. Looks fine now.
