It gets the looks & mileage & still has speed (first kill yesterday, some pimped out Honda). That being said, here are some questions off the top of my head. -I like to use the handbrake, can you pull it hard or will the cable break. -Is there any way to get the gas & brake pedals further apart. -The shifter sucks (automatic), is there an aftermarket. It REALLY sucks. I absolutely can't stand it. My 85 Corolla had a better shifter. -Does someone make different switches. All the switches on the center console look the same & I have to actually READ them before pushing anything. How many times have I hit the Auto/Manual transmission switch when trying to lower the window. That Auto Manual switch is useless without a decent shifter anyway! Anyone else address these issues or am I picky?? BTW anyone need the stock steel rims. They're taking up space in my storage. | | | 05-03-2006, 05:50 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | i use my handbrake a lot...i pull it just as hard on any other car and no cable snappage... what kind of shifter is it...the 'T' handle shifter? i have an AC Schnitzer replica shifter, but its the same shape as the stock 'T' handle so it wouldnt help you much i guess. once you get used to the car, you know which switches do what...you get used to it and you wont need to read it or need different switches. __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | 05-03-2006, 06:17 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: San Diego Posts: 231 | I didn't get a T-handle, it looks like a leather covered manual shift knob & the switch is on the front which you have to pull with your middle finger. Possibly a BASe model thing? Good to know about the handbrake... on rwd cars you have to pull hard sometimes! Posts: 3,156 | The hand brake should hold the car when pulled with two fingers, about three clicks. If it's clicking more, or you have to crank on it to hold the car, get it fixed. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
