it's not ideal if you're going to be doing any performance driving but it would work if you're lowering for looks, the ride might be a little bouncy though

I know another member on here has Tokico shocks on his car, they were quite a bit cheaper than Bilstein sports and they're valved for lowering springs, they might be something to look into

Yeah, the tokicos are half the price. Put about 30K on them. Still working great, and they are on H&R sports.

You will need an external spring compressor to compress the front springs and an offset wrench or impact gun to remove the top nut on the strut. Other than that, you shouldn't need any special tools. Replacing the springs/struts/shocks is not a difficult job, but take your time and make sure that all washers/spacers/plates/spring pads/etc. are put back together in the correct order and location. Meyle and Lemforder are quality brands and you should have no problem using them.

Make sure you get the E46 style rear shock mounts, NOT the E36 style (it's an improved design and isn't as prone to failure over time like the E36 mounts are).

Good luck on the install and post pictures when you're done!

A Bentley repair manual will provide you with the torque specs for your new parts (which look great, all new and shiny!)

Your mechanic should have access to the correct torque specs for your car, as well...

If you can't easily locate a physical copy of the manual where you are at, there are digital copies easily found out on the interwebs...

it's a German car, so the torque spec is güdenteit

most mechanics should have access to the torque specs for that stuff but on both of my ti's I just tightened it down as tight as I could with hand tools, I've been driving one like that for two years without a problem
