Beautiful car, any close up pics of both wheels? How much did you get the replica ones for?

Oh those fcuking w@nkers! Do you not have a tilt alarm on it? Or locking wheel nuts?

To me the real wheels look better finish, bit bling the replica ones. Were the replica ones cheap?

The replicas had a satin chrome finish (black chrome), and they were not that cheap... they were about 2/3 the price of the real ones from what I remember.
The car had factory alarm, and no wheel locks... This was the first time ever to have the wheels stolen from my car... in my entire life...I put on wheel locks for the real ones though... That car was my baby, I really miss it!...

Sucks that they were stolen but if the thieves really want your wheels, wheel locks won't stop them.

The OEM CSLs definitely look better than the reps. They are one of my favorite OE BMW wheels.

If you really want to try the CSL look with OE BMW wheels, the new (Style 197) 3 series wheels are very similar to the CSL/ZCP, and they are 18x8 and 18x8.5... Those I would consider for the Ti if they came in 17"... 18" might just be a bit too big for our compact...

These are my wheels, 18" CSL reps, dont think they look to big, perfect size on the e46 imo, not sure what the arches on the e36 are like? As big as mine? any way here is the pics:

Close up of the finish, there is a layer of dirt on them there tho, really good finish I think (they are cleaner in the top pic), will have to get a cleaned close up for you.

I honestly can't see the difference between the reps and originals, yoda, were there any prints or anything on the jack or would that have not even made a difference

It wouldn't have made a difference...Freak...
Trust me the difference was HUGE, maybe you can't see it or feel it fromthe pics, but it was...

Gravy,
Those are nice replicas, and they suit your e46 Ti much better than our e36 Ti's, those wheels were made to fit the e46... The e36 has smaller wheel wells and 17" rims fit just like your 18" on the e46. Just look at my old M3 and see how "big" the rims really look on it and those are 19"(mind you that it had Eibach Lowering Springs as well).

Yoda, I see what you are saying about the difference in quality between reps and originals but im going to be paying £200 ( almost $300 ) for a set of 4 CSL reps complete with tyres so I can afford for them to bend or deteriorate!
I can buy a set of BBS version for just over £1500 but to be honest I only paid £1700 for my car and wouldnt want to spend almost as much on wheels!!!
So if the wheels are crap, I will just throw them away!!!

Also I have seen pics of Madfronters E36 ti with the 18" reps on and they seem to fit OK which is proof enough for me!!!

Anyway, ill post up pics as soon as they are fitted

[QUOTE=yoda;208444]Here are the Pics of the replicas and the real deal on my ex-e46 M3
Replica:

The Real Deal:

BTW This is what I woke up to when they stole the replica rims....This was in Studio City in Los Angeles... a Brick holding the car up on the other side and they couldn't take the jack with them!...

Wow that's terrible I hope next time they do something like that somebody shoot at them
Ei guys I'm looking to buy csl replicas for my ti, and found some on ebuy - 18/8 et37 and I would like to put 235/40/18. I searched around and still dont know if they gonna fit. My car is stock base ti. The replicas are for $500 shipped, does it worth it? tnx

But what if I put H&R sport springs, Bilstein sport shocks? Why some dudes put 40 at the front and 35 at the back, rubbing issues? tnx 4 reply

I've got similar sized rims on my car with H&R race springs, no rubbing on mine
