Default Tire fitment question

im about to drop by car with some RD sport springs (1.5in Fr, 1.2in rear) but i am running a 225/50 tire size on my 16x7 style 104 rims.
would i be fine to run this size tire with the drop or will i have to change my tire size and/or roll the fenders?

ive searched all over bimmerforums and this site but could not find an answer.

My opinion is no to both. I've read about others here going with a 17 inch wheel setup and no fender rolls were required.

You should be ok with the tire set up that you currently have.

I would say you're fine- I'm running 235/45 on 17x7.5 Style 22's and I'm not even near rubbing.

I run 235/40-17 on mine with no problems using AC Schnitzer springs. I don't know the exact amount of drop, but mine is the lowest Ti I have seen in a street car. The below may be useful:

Tire 2 - 235/45R17

Here's information that I have learned about rubbing...

If you have stock springs, and you don't rub - you won't rub with just a mild 1-1.5 drop. The ti has from what I have learned virtually no bump stop's in the rear, and the stock springs are weak enough for you to tuck the rear way past the fender when you accelerate or just take corners and hit bumps, so my answer is you will be fine.
