Angry Med case diff, NO half shafts fit now... >:O

I have swapped up to a 3.15 torsen med case diff. First I bought wayyy too beefy z3m axles which were much too big on the hub side.
Then I ordered e30 half shafts which, and I'm not losing my mind here, are LONGER than my stock ti halfshafts. Also have bigger axle nuts which were not included.
Since I had the original diff and stock halfshafts, which were the shortest ones I had, I installed these parts. The ti output flanges are machined to 'snap' in at a different location than the e30s and slightly out from the diff. For this next step, I went ahead and bumped them all the way in.

SO, when I put in the ti axles guess what happened?,. My ass end got a lift since the axles won't even let the rear drop all the way.

My question is, where did I go wrong? Only makes since to me that somehow my 'e30' half shafts are longer than normal and I should ignore insanity and order another pair...

I have that z3 diff in my ti, also had a medium case e30 LSD clutch style diff. I used e30 m3 halfshafts, fit perfect, only had to shim the ABS sensors. The correct e30 shafts are shorter (because the case is larger and wider) and must be from a 6 cyl e30 (or e30 m3) that came with the med. case diff. No output flange issues either.

Maybe you got 4 cyl e30 halfshafts by mistake?

Use E30 output flanges with the E30 half shafts/ axles. I've been running an E28 3:25 lsd med. case with the E30 parts with no issues.

Yup, E30 med diff, output flanges, and axles here with no issues.

I checked the parts numbers and e30s all came with the same shorter half shafts. Supposedly. And mine are from a 325 anyway. But just so you guys understand I'm not losing my mind I will post pics soon of the longer e30 half shafts.

Sitting freely on the ground and standing pushed down on end they are LONGER?! And notice the ti output flanges are designed to pop into place while still 1/4inch out of the diff.

Now, it's not just me. Hah. I can't talk myself into ordering more e30 half shafts and expecting them to be shorter. Especially when I could use that $100 or so to regrease and re-boot mine..

Just to clear this thread up, I ended up buying brand new e30 half shafts from the parts store for a very reasonable price after figuring out that the "e30" half shafts I received from a bf.c member were for an e36 with bigger wheel bearings/hubs in the rear.
