It was literally a Barn Find. I got it from this old farmer in harrisburg Pa. his son had it years ago and bottomed out the oilpan and killed the engine, so it got parked in the barn and left for 15 years.. it is remarkably rust free... I have it stripped to the shell and suspension. Soon the suspension will be out and I can strip it to baremetal. As for that Drag car.. I looked up the stats on it. 1600BHP on methonal. It does the quarter in 7.4 seconds. Under the hood is a 4 rotor mazda engine with two T82 turbos | | | 04-24-2009, 01:20 AM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Virginia Posts: 242 | | | | 04-24-2009, 01:40 AM | #33 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 237 | Quote: Originally Posted by bimmern00b | +100,000,000 haha I can't believe I forgot to put this in mine!! The Lotus 7 replica I posted only has about 150.. but it also only weighs about 1200 pounds | | | 04-25-2009, 11:16 PM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Quote: Originally Posted by Mad-Machine I must be the only person in the world who does not dream of 1000hp cars. | You are not alone... I do not dream of Supercars and Supermods either... I learned to drive in one of these; A 1960 MGA coupe, red with a white leather interior and a 1600cc engine (that was the size of a sewing machine) with dual SU carbs and 4 speed. I have preferred small, nimble cars ever since... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. It also has a non standard light tan interior that my dad changed it to in the late 70's when the white leather wore out... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I would also love to have a Austin-Healy Bug Eye Sprite, a 1937 Mercedes-Benz SS100, a 1925 Rolls-Royce boat tail racer, and an original Studebaker Avanti, the list goes on. But especially the Rolls because it would look excellent next to my 1931 Rolls.... best AM radio I ever had! | | | 04-26-2009, 11:13 PM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | I owned a mark 1 sprite.. neat little car that I never did manage to get running. Actually sold it for more than I bought it for. I also had an original Mini Cooper... an ex-race car that I tried to turn back into a street car. That did not work well. | | | 04-27-2009, 08:07 AM | #39 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Sacramento Posts: 245 | | | | 04-28-2009, 06:40 PM | #41 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | I've seen a few on ebay actually, too... I would love to own one some day. My absolute favorite car. I went to Monza in 2007 to see the F1 race (f-ing McLaren won), & there was a red Delta Evo 2 just like the one on the photo parked next to a Ferrari.. Everyone (including me) were taking photos of the Delta & not of the Ferrari. LOL Quote: Originally Posted by gimp | __________________ SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!
