Default My 2.0lt 318i

Hey guys, new to the forum, some of you know me already from bimmerforums, anyways, here's what I got.

She started out as a 93' 316i with the 1.8lt 8v M40 engine, I swapped the motor for the M42 and haven't looked back...Here's my mod list:

Exterior
Clears all round
M3 front and rear bumpers and skirts
LTW rear spoiler
V2 splitters
Custom mirrors
Bosch ellipsoids with E46 Bi-xenon retrofit
Chrystal fogs with D2S HIDs

Interior
Euro M3 cluster
E39 M5 gear knob
E36 M3 steering wheel
Front and rear centre armrests

Engine and Drivetrain
M42 2.0lt (2044cc)
M47 Crank
M3 pistons
M44 rods
11,6:1 compression on 95 unleaded
E34 M5 Oil cooler

AFM to 3" MAF conversion

Fan Delete
Euro M3 injectors and fuel pump
M3 6speed gearbox
3.45:1 LS Diff

These pics are a few months old but not much has changed, except for the removal of the windsheild banner and stickers.

WOW seems South Africa has more then i thought, they need to do a discovery channel show on the country, I want to see how much the country has grown over the years.

Gizmo, it looks like something right out of the BTCC man. Really cool. Could you post the link to bfc so I could see all the details of your build. I know how your car handles cuz I have the same mods on my car but how does that M42 run compared to a M50 powered E36. I'm relly interested in that motor bulid. Which M3 pistons did you use. My only question now is where the heck do I get an M47 crank from here in the US anyone know.

From what I remember from the thread, you can order them new from BMW, but they cost something like $800.

Euro S50B30 pistons were used. She's quicker/makes more power than a stock 328i.

Sorry, don't have any torque numbers...
