Hay mates. I purchased a LSD 3.46 E30 from MetrixMotorsport.com and they are working on a 40% setup using new factory discs. So as I understand, I need to get the inner CV's from an E30 and attach them to the 318ti shaft and outer CV's. Is this the best way to go? Any input would be GREAT on this whole setup. Thanks.

NO! it seems that either using e30 shafts and flanges or the original 318ti shafts and flanges both work. the e30 pieces are somewhat beefier.
are they changing the ratio? i don't believe the e30 used a 3.46 ratio, but i could be remembering incorrectly. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

this page lists the ratios for pretty much every model, but they're not in any particular order: http://www.data.bmrparts.com/bmwparts/326.html i want to say yours came from a 5 or 7 series (by your own admission when you were buying it) and the page above would seem to confirm that for the 3.46 posi did NOT exist for the e30. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

sorry mates... it is actually from an E28 5 series. Got to excited planning for the DASC.
