Default where did all the water go???

I have read some threads on overheating, as my ti was doing that and I was trying to figure out why I had no heat in the car. and I thought I would try the most obvious thing first - does it have water - and no it didn't. I filled it up and yeah I have heat now. I drove across town (about 30 minutes drive at 50-80 kph) and when I got home and the car was cold again I checked the water and it needed about a litre again.

My question to you all is where did the water go? There is no puddle under my car in the garage and no porridge in the oil, the carpet in the car is dry. What other possible ideas could it be?????????

Is ther any fluid in the engine bay on the inside of the hood or other parts? I had this problem as well, and my water pump was the culprit. It had a slight leak and drip when you revved the motor, you could see it drip out.

Check the bleed screw next to the radiator cap. Mine cracked in half and was letting coolant out as steam when it was hot. Now that you've added all that water, you might want to make sure you burp the system fully. There's probably a write-up on here somewhere.

Is your water pump rattling? If that gets loose with a bad bearing it can slide out just enough to let water leak.

I can't hear any rattling when the bonnet is open but I am not sure where the pump is so I don't know where to put my ear, I will check it out though, thanks.

Take a long screw driver and touch it to the engine and block in different places. Put your ear on the handle and listen for any odd noises.
