My pull out headlight switch is breaking ever so slowly IE I have to hammer it in for it to turn off plus the rheostat? is completely broken and tangled.. yet still somewhat works, amazingly. But here is my issue, after searching real oem, ECS and Pelican parts I cannot find the corresponding part number which is 613183535061. Even more strange is when looking at the Pelican parts pictures the one they say is for non fog light cars is the one that my car has, yet I have fogs... Also real oem doesn't show the above part number anywhere not even in cross reference... Which part do I need? help! Car is 10/95 ti Canadian with m42. P.S. Also odd I've noticed this part number shows up on google all over European Ebay among other part sites.. However, I can only wish my car was euro-spec.. | | | 01-21-2015, 01:33 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | Quote: Originally Posted by applecrisp P.S. However, I can only wish my car was euro-spec.. | Normally, NA cars with front fog lights use the European switch for rear fog lights, specially wired to the front not rear ones. It appears your car has the switch (used outside North America) for a car with both front and rear fog lights. Has your switch always had a position that doesn't seem to change anything? Does the part number on your switch read something like: 61.31-8 353 506 1? No I haven't noticed it having any other positions because it simply is in and out for on/off and then the horizontal turn for interior lights. My fogs are controlled by a pull switch on the right hand side. The headlights/interior lights are controlled by this part number 61.318353506.1 and the fogs are controlled by 61.318353504.9 | | | 01-21-2015, 06:31 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | The fog and headlight switches on the 'ti continue to confuse me. But try ordering just 61 31 8 353 504 and/or 61 31 8 353 506. I better not speculate what the .1 and .9 suffixes mean. The 11 previous digits are the full part number. Pelican Parts, for example, recognizes both. | | | 01-21-2015, 06:53 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Vancouver BC Posts: 99 | Thanks, very confusing because the 506 part number which looks the same as what I have is not even listed for my car but rather a Z3... Also still confused as to why Pelican says the 504 is for cars with fog lights but it looks wrong... doesn't have the rheostat. Finally, Pelican also lists the "not for car with fogs" switch as 61-31-8-353-508 but the image looks right. Maybe it's worded wrong and they mean simply not for fog lights IE one is for headlights (left side) and one is for fog lights (right side) ? I just really don't wanna order a 50 dollar part that isn't right.. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
