What he told me was suprising. I explained that the steering the car is menacing, some times easier than others to drive the damn thing. The steering wheel is way to hard to turn and it cuts down on reaction times in case of an emergency. Well, he told me that he thinks its the ball joints, and that BMW only sells them complete with the control arms. Does this sound right to you guys? If I get full metal ball joints, will that aliviate my problem, or should I give the PS system another flushing and hope that it improves? | | | 12-06-2005, 09:33 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by Juni Well, he told me that he thinks its the ball joints, and that BMW only sells them complete with the control arms. He changed his mind! He now says it could be two things, either a bad PS pump, or a bad rack and pinnion. Made an appointment next week, he's gonna put it on the lift to check it out. | | | 12-07-2005, 07:50 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | So he'll take it for a ride and not throw it on a lift? I'd get a second opinion as well. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 12-07-2005, 02:04 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Malden, MA Posts: 672 | Quote: Originally Posted by aceyx So he'll take it for a ride and not throw it on a lift?
