Default 1996 318ti Dash Trim Removal

Hey all. New here. My mom has 1996 318ti Hatchback. I'm currently trying to install a new pioneer headunit for her. When she bought the car a few years ago it came with an aftermarket cheap kenwood unit installed and it's on it's last leg. I've been working on it for about 30 minutes now and can't get the trim around the stereo and AC/Heating controls removed from the dash. I feel like I can pull the whole thing out but it's catching on the right side by the clock and I don't want to break it. It's so tight I can't get my scosch trim removal tool in the gap. Any Ideas? A step by step guide would be great.

You need to remove the radio and clock behind these things are two hinded screws (upper side). Then you have to push the front trim downwads, beacuse of the front trim has two fastening hooks.
