Some say there was an M-ti but I believe that was only special orders, the rest were sports that had the M-technic style just without the m3 motor. BMW didnt discontinue the ti till just recently, they had the e46 ti but it wasnt available in the states. Now they have the 1 series which I believe is what took over the ti seeing how its a hatchback, but instead its a 4 door. I know others are more knowledgeable on this matter then me, but that is what I understand is the reason the ti is no longer made. They just didnt do that well in the states.... __________________ my new world | | | 06-16-2006, 03:48 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | In order: The club sport was the closest the an M that the factory ever made. No Because they felt that 4 cyl. cars cheaped the name in the US 138 And the little search button at the top of the page could have easily found all this info. | | | 06-16-2006, 03:50 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Tampa, FL Posts: 677 | Oh that link that I posted does talk about the 1-series being the successor. __________________ my new world | | | 06-16-2006, 03:52 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | The Z4 coupe is more like the ti then the 1 series. The Z4 coupe has similar design to the ti, even more then the Z3 coupe. Its a coupe- hatch instead of a wagon like hatch. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-16-2006, 04:07 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | Quote: Originally Posted by SDKmann Im talking about looks.
