Default PC based OBD scanners

Im looking to purchase my own OBD scanner, and have been heavily considering a PC based unit. I like the idea of data logging, potential programing, etc.. My problem is that my TI is OBD-I, while the rest of my cars are OBD-II. I seem to find tons of OBDII scanners/software, but no OBDI, especially in a BMW format.

Ideally, the software that i get would function with both diagnostic types, but obviously the plugs are different. So what do you computer guys use as far as software/hardware? Is there really anything available for BMW OBDI?

Thanks!!
