Random thoughts......

I can think of good reasons for either course of action (that's the "curse of the Gemini" LOL). How about we give the accused a chance to plead for mercy before deciding?

The reality is that this sort of thing WILL happen again, so it would be in our best interest to come up with a "standard procedure" while we're dealing with this specific situation.

I do feel that if it's a first offender, they should have a chance to learn from their mistake and hopefully not do it again. But, if it's someone who has already displayed troll-like behavior... kick 'em to the curb.

As I'm sitting here I'm actually starting to take offense to the fact that the Offender is such a bad speller... That might actually be reason for me to change my vote to a permaban! If you're gonna talk smack, at least do it eloquently!

were they definitely a member of THIS board? not some other BMW owner? seems a bit weird to me but as most people have said, there is no need for that kind of behavior.

you wouldnt accept it on the street so dont accept it online.

Ban for life.

I say ban for a week, with an apology.

The problem isn't so much his stirring the pot here--I think we deal with that fairly well. The problem is him going around and messing with other forums.

Best to just rap him on the knuckles, say "bad dog" and see what we can do to prevent it in the future.
