I assure you that the rest of my car is filthy. | | | 11-26-2008, 09:17 PM | #2 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Thats what Jeeps are for. Those specially designed rally cars are designed to preform like race cars on dirt. I do not drive it like a race car on pavement or dirt. Just because you CANT bring your ti out onto the mud pools, please do not assume that I trash mine when I bring it out. What harm is a little mud? As for the jeep being dangerous, I can do maneuvers in this little car that would roll a jeep in an instant. The biggest danger I was in was that of getting stuck in a deeper spot. That was no problem cause there was a 325is and a guy with a little desert rat toyota with a winch on it out there doing the same crap as I was. I also have been in V10 trophy trucks that put jeeps to shame. I have been driving on dirt with a variety of vehicles since I was in 8th grade. I learned to drive on dirt LONG before I ever even had a car or a drivers license. Its not like I am claiming to be able to beat a jeep in a race, or even try to get close to the terrain that one can handle, I am still sticking to my story that they are dangerous, and slow. I know the limits of my car, and I dont push them. Please tell me how having a little fun in some soft mud, or even driving down a dirt road is going to turn my car into a pile of sh!t. I dont know if you have ever been to Germany, but there are plenty of rural areas, and you seem to overlook the fact that there are lots of people on this earth who MUST drive a dirt/muddy road every day. Quit wagging your edick around. | | | 11-26-2008, 11:40 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | lol, fail it was an entertaining read I must admit | | | 11-27-2008, 02:07 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. Now it won't win a race or a beauty contest, but it serves it's purpose well. Besides that, the constant vibration from uneven and rutted dirt roads will certainly cause all of your interior pieces as well as your chassis to creak and rattle over time. Think about your brakes and exhaust, all of the rocks and crud getting thrown around under there. BMW didn't design the 318ti with offroading intended as a normal practice. Look at your car and then look at everyone else's, I rest my case. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 11-27-2008, 06:10 AM | #13 | Banned Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: LOS ANGELES Posts: 229 | wonderful | | | 11-29-2008, 07:06 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Southern California - Orange county Posts: 978 | hey jesse whenever it rained would your jeep leak from the inside. i've always been skeptical about a plastic cover for a roof __________________ 1995 318ti Cosmos Black Bilsteins w/ H&R Sport, Depos w/ angeleyes and HID 5K, 50% short throw kit, Custom fogged intake, AC schnitzer pedels w/ deadpedels, leather stickshift knob, vitesse tuning Ebreak boot w/ shift boot, X-Brace, 325/328 brake upgrade, Gray millpoint leather and cloth interior, custom computer multimedia system, and Style 5 BBS 17" rims, M3 Mirrors, CF Hood | | | 11-29-2008, 07:40 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 1,464 | This is why I have a full size Dodge Ram w/ 3" lift for winter/rain/snow and when it's especially nice, the convertible Camaro comes out...
