Not your fault, I don't think Estorial Blue nor Dakar Yellow was ever a ti color.
I've only seen M3s in that color. Although Dakar Yellow was available in the UK so I take that back.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

BMW Individual (for the rest of the world) offered every color including one that I wanted to get, that I could not.

They had a nice blue that matched the blue of the Motorsport stripes. I saw it in one of my original catalogues for the car. It had M-Contours on it as well, and it looked good!

It was if you jump through enough hoops. In 97 when I placed my order for my 98 ti I wanted Dakar Yellow II. I had to make numerous call until BMW finally agreed. It was and additional $1500 and no gaurantee when it was going to be built. Since there already was a UK model that came in Dakar Yellow it really should not have been a big deal. It was not work $1500 and looking back I'm glad I didn't.

i'm really contemplating what color i should get my "rebuilt" ti shot in. since it'll be a year or two (need to get all the m-tech pieces and will probably have the fenders rolled too), i guess i have awhile to think about it. i'll probably stick with a bmw color, but not necessarily one that was possible on the ti.

I think someone on our forum has a Dakar ti...
I forgot who it was though. I'll figure it out...

Mischief, in the first picture you posted it looks like it might have been repainted (maybe? because moldings are painted too).
But the other car you posted looks factory...estoril blue...

To me, the cars you posted don't really look like the ones you posted, unless my eyes are goin weird on me lol. (Doesnt look metallic to me...but it's a small picture...)

**EDIT**: The member who has Dakar Yellow here is named "Compact Missle". Look at his gallery (only one pic but still...) It's cool...Dakar yellow on a nonsport ti.

The color was cool in its day. Now just about every Dakar Yellow I see is faded. We wanted a Yellow MINI then thought if we would still like it 5 years later. Our answer was no. I like yellow, just not in front of my house every day.
