Bribing people to go to the drivers meetings? Looks like a fun event, but to far of a drive from Orlando.

LOL. No need to bribe, you'll loose track time for not being at the drivers meeting

Its just the best time, no engines, everyone's attention focused as much as it can be early in the morning.

Wish I had the money. Last time I was at VIR I only got several laps during the entire day due to brake issues. I'll probably be back with Tarheel later in the month. Good luck. Summer schools don't seem to be doing well this year.

Some of the groups I run with have starting giving out little colored strips of paper. If you don't have it stuck in your windshield wipers, they won't let you out of the staging area.... The first morning they did this so many people were calling their friends on the phone to tell them to get to the meeting.

It is just to hot. I skipped my annual Sebring summerfest DE because of the heat. I'm doing an event this weekend only because I know the registrar, and I know they are combining solo and instructor into one group. So if I run every sessions I'll get something like 3 hours each day, two day event, for 350$.. Which is a great deal in this area..

I would imagine gas is a factor for some folks as well. I know I gave up the idea of getting a tow vehicle. The Ti is just so economical in terms of driving to the track, that getting 15mpg isn't worth it. I get 13mpg on track!

I'm gonna ban you! Stop taunting me.

I mentioned to my wife, oh by the way, there is a 2 day school at VIR coming up, Thursday and Friday. And Mazda will be there Saturday and Sunday. Last time I did this she said, oh cool. Wanna go? We'll get a room at the Lodge. No dice this year. I threw out the bait, but no nibble.
