Default Lexus RX 300

What do you guys think about the Lexus RX 300?

I've been browsing for a new car for awhile or looking for a good deal. There is a Lexus near me a 99 with 50k on her and i might stop by and check it out. Only downside it's black and i hate black cars but the RXdrives really nice to me. One thing that i'm not a fan of of gas mileage on it kind of poor imo 19c/22h. I'm just thinking winter is coming up and an RX would be great for NE winters, awd suv fully loaded etc...

It's a nice car, but my opinion with cars, and basically with everything, is: Don't buy it if you even have the slightest doubt. It'll make you regret the purchase further down the road, thinking "why didnt i buy the color that i wanted?"

Just my 2 cents

Bah get a Jeep for the winters! Ok maybe not. For winter driving, I would look at reviews for the best traction control setup/best winter performance, whether it be a 4x4 pickup or an AWD SUV. Look into options of switching between 2WD and 4WD. My dad's 99 ML320 is AWD, it would have been nice if you could switch into 2WD when AWD isn't necessary. But in 1 ft of snow it's amazing fish tailing and the car recovering itself was sweet.

I don't know what I want I'm just looking for a steal on something with either awd or fwd. I've seen quite a few audi 2.8 quattros for sale with 60-70k on them for under 8k. They are 98-99's but with low miles and 5spds I'm likeing them.

Subaru AWD? A bit hard-to-find around here, but maybe there are more in your area..
