Default Heated Mirrors??!??!?

i noticed this morning that my side mirrors were fogged from the cold and as soon as i started the car my driver side mirror was warm and fog dissapeared.. when i went to the passanger it was still foggy and cold??? does a 98ti come wit heated mirrors..if so how do i determine why my other mirror isnt heated

you can pop the mirror off and check the wires for power. I'd use a plastic puddy knife. It will pop without breaking anything, but be carefull of course.

Also- a p.o. may have replaced the mirror with a non heated mirror, and the wires would be just unhooked inside.
check it out.
(heated mirrors over time show the glue(?) or something, around the edges)

so the passenger mirror is indeed supposed to be heated? I have the same issue

My drivers side mirror doesn't work,it's been that way since i got her 5 yrs ago.

Theyre both supposed to be heated...i believe there are two pronges on the back the the glass that are the power lines to the actual heater lines...make sure they arent severed and are connected.

Nope i have never touched it. If it was something i wanted to fix i probally would've done something about it. After about 5-10 minutes of driving it clears up. Maybee someday i'll look at it.
