Default Precautions to take b4 buying...

Hi you all, my name is luis and i was wondering if you guyz can help me out with this little situation of currently dealing with....

Im bout to buy a huge quantity of harddrives off this one harddrive shop that i ran into at a computer show last saturday. SO anyways im a lil worried that they might sell me junk and disappear for good....... even though they say they are refurbished and that they offer 6month warranty on all their hard drives

so anyways is there any other precautions that i could take b4 buying them.

thanks

Not really... I would actually stay way from refurbished harddrives. But that is my opinion. I'm a system engineer and I know that the operations guys that work on the systems that I build sometimes have to use refurb drives on the older machines with 16GB harddrives(HP does not make the 15k RPM 16GB U/W scsi drives we used several years ago anymore).

The refurbs usually only last a few months before they die. I guess you could try to find another person who has dealt with that vendor. If they give you a 6 months warranty that may help. We don't get warranties on our refurb drives.
