This is a very fun car to toss around in empty parking lots, esp. on wet surface. More thrill than any front-wheel/all-wheel drive cars. __________________ 1998 BMW 318ti M-Tech Sport Silver (Gone to member leeko617) CURRENT: 2015 BMW X1, 2004 BMW 330ci Convertible, 1998 Porsche Boxster, 2001 BMW 525i Touring GONE: 2000 Audi A4, 2002 VW Passat, 1985 VW Cabriolet | | | 11-04-2005, 03:30 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: bris Posts: 287 | Daily driver. My '94 Toyota pickup is my daily driver now -- a little over a mile to the park & ride, where it sits in the elements all day. As for why I don't drive to work: easy 25-minute bus ride in the express lane vs. 1+ hour in Seattle gridlock and $8/day parking downtown. What would you do? | | | 12-13-2005, 08:21 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Brecksville/Cleveland Ohio Posts: 259 | i use it as a snow plow in the winter and a fast little sports car in the summer (just kidding about the snow plow but sometimes it feels that way lol) __________________ "Driving to slow, THAT'S TI ABUSE"!!!! But the BMW is my daily driver. I put 90+ miles on a day with my commute. The only thing I find with the car is that the stock seats suck. To me they are very uncomfortable. I am 5'11" and 225 pounds. New seats are planned for the future. I do have a spare set of Sparkos, but those are fixed back design... need access to rear seats. | | | 02-17-2006, 05:56 PM | #28 | Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Tulsa,OK Posts: 51 | It is a daily and my lil Ti hasn't seen track time besides just at the local road course - no passing without signal kinda thing - driving hard but not like RACING ~*Teg*~ | | | 02-27-2006, 06:52 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Lake Stevens, WA Posts: 119 | It's my new daily driver and plan to do some Auto-X and maybe some track days. __________________ Pete N | | | 03-08-2006, 03:07 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Pennsylvania Posts: 218 | every day... as much as possible . | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
