Default M42 Part Out -- MOTOR'S GONE

I've just pulled a non-running M42 (WITH 188k MILES) with the plan of swapping in an S50. The motor died going down the interstate one night. A local BMW shop told me that the compression from front to back was 50psi, 5psi, 0psi and 75psi, thus, I expected the head gasket to be obliterated -- it wasn't. The piston rings seem to be doing their job (even the cylinder with "0psi compression" creates vacuum and positive pressure when I cup my hand over it and turn the crank...).

I have everything that has come off the engine thus far in my garage, with all the nuts and bolts in separate marked bags. If I can find the bag of nuts and bolts, they will come with any parts I sell.

Unfortunately, I was exhausted when we finally yanked the motor, and weighing my options, I cut the harness where it comes off the firewall and goes under the intake manifold. I'll gladly sell parts of the harness if anyone is interested though.

Please ask any questions you have. If you want pictures of a particular part, I'll be glad to take some. Buyers are responsible for shipping. I'll get a shipping quote for anyone who makes a serious offer.

REMEMBER: All proceeds go to the "Collin Needs an S50" fund.

Thanks for looking,

Collin

Hell, if you wanna throw in another $15, I'll give you a Bavauto intake boot that is almost brand new with the AFM. Lemme know.

I'm looking for $200 for it, but I'll entertain a reasonable offer.

How much would you want for the lower portion of the airbox? I only need the bottom half. Shipping to 27513 (NC)

I "fogged" my airbox, but it didn't require me cutting anything on the TI. The only consequence is that I have since thrown away the stock inlet that goes into the airbox. But I'll include all the stuff I used to do it, so you can do it too if you want.

PM me if you're still interested.

Still got tons of stuff left! I'm almost positive the block is still good.

The AFM, TB, and lower-half of the airbox are gone.
