Default Hazard Light problem

Anyone ever heard of a problem with the hazard lights when driving with the AC on?

This happened last year to but forgot about it until today...when I am driving typically over 70 mph + Air Con my hazards will flash randomly. I can cycle the hazard button once and stop them from flashing.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem ... it would be really cool if someone could find the solution! Mine is not related to speed though --- but definitely A/C plays a part in it. Friggin' annoying.

Well, summer is upon us and the hazard light problem is back. This years trouble shooting feels that it is not speed related but triggers when I hit bump with the AC on. Anyone figure this out?

ok, I think I got this stupid issue resolved --- completely by accident.

I had a problem with the temperature rising when I was sitting in traffic. Quick investigation showed that the low speed fan was not coming on. To make a long story short, I replaced the temperature switch on the top of the radiator, the electric fan itself and the low speed fan relay. One of those three components happened to have solved my hazzard light when using the A/C issue too. I presume it is either the low speed fan relay, or the temperature switch that controls the fan based on the coolant temperature.

... on a side note, none of those things fixed my overheating issue. The problem ended up being the jacka$$es that last worked on my car not bleeding the coolant system. Essentially, that temperature switch on the top of the radiator was never getting activated because there was no coolant that high in the system.

Good luck to you all --- let me know if one of these items fixes your problem too.

Thanks for the help and info. Has the problem shown up again since your last post? Since the weather has cooled off, my AC is now off. But for next year, do happen to have the part numbers for the part you mention.

Thanks!
