Default E46/E36 Compact Rear Shocks

Will the rear (B8Sprint)shocks from a E46 Compact fit and work on a E36 Compact?

Yeah, the E46 ti and E36 ti have completely different rear suspension set ups. You could measure the compressed and extended lengths of each and see if they are similar.
