Stick to something for the Ti or do a combo of non-M fronts and E30 rears (ground control will do it, not sure if anyone else will). | | | 12-31-2009, 03:57 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | Why non m3 fronts?? M3 fronts will work fine, only difference is sway bar attachment and you are stupid not to upgrade to a m3 or larger bar with drop links. __________________ -Jeff | | | 12-31-2009, 06:31 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Charlottesville, VA Posts: 102 | We are somewhat restricted to what we can choose from due to the rear end we have, but the big question is what are you planning on using the car for? Is it going to see the track at all or autoX, how much? Or is it just for street driving to lower it and improve handling? | | | 12-31-2009, 05:04 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Boston MA Posts: 135 | I just plan on using it for street driving and was looking to upgrade and go a little bit lower. And i'm on a budget of around $1000 | | | 12-31-2009, 05:20 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | worthless, use springs. __________________ -Jeff | | | 01-02-2010, 08:32 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Charlottesville, VA Posts: 102 | Xenocide is right, your best bet is to use springs with a sport shock. You will save money in the long run and it is really best to get a car corner balanced after you put a coilover suspension on it which adds to the cost. Since you are planning on using it on the street you might want to take the money you save and get some camber plates and Ireland Engineering adjustment plates for the rear to dial out some of the positive camber. | | | 01-02-2010, 08:58 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | Quote: Originally Posted by RedDog Since you are planning on using it on the street you might want to take the money you save and get some camber plates and Ireland Engineering adjustment plates for the rear to dial out some of the negative camber. | fixed. __________________ -Jeff | | | 01-02-2010, 09:21 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Charlottesville, VA Posts: 102 | Since the Ti unfortunately has the rear end of an E30, it is fixed. If you get two sets of the Ireland Engineering Rear Camber/Toe Adjustment Kit -E30, Z3, 318ti and weld them in you will gain the ability to adjust both camber and toe on our cars. http://store.bimmerworld.com/shared/...t=products.asp | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
