Thumbs up Braking while in neutral

Hello there, just a quick Q.

Been driving automatics for a while, can someone tell me if in my beemer it is ok to brake while in neutral. Just a habit i seem to have. When i see red light ahead i will coast to it in neutral. Is this ok in a auto beemer?? Also had my car a few weeks and seems to rev hi when the temp of the car is cold, been looking at other posts and this seems to be ok?? only does it for 2-3 mins. ta
