Liked the look. I have thought about it for the Ti. Pics above look good. IMO, it is more of a styling edition on the Ti. The stop point on the sunroof takes care of most of the issues that a deflector does. | | | 07-30-2006, 05:36 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Ti has one of the quietest sunroofs I've ever had, I'd be afraid to mess that up.... The air that comes in is minimal in my opinion... I wouldn't bother getting one. __________________ Silver 98 318ti Standard trans, Sport Package: 16" Stock Wheels, Foglamps, Sunroof, Heated Leather Seats, Bilstein performance shocks, OEM Sach's clutch kit, Dunlop SP Sport A2 225/50/16 tires, Alpine CDA 7894, Dual Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, Rockford Fosgate Amp, Leather Armrest, Replaced M44 engine with only 40k on it! http://www.geocities.com/evalha/bmwsmaller.JPG | | | 08-23-2006, 11:46 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | i am not going to get the sunroof wind deflector. yall have some good opinions. what would be the point to stop the wind that is entering the roof? thats why i open it! but i may still go with the side window deflector. cus i do somtimes want to crack my windows when it is raining but dont want to let the rain in. and it seems like they would look good on the Ti. we shall see! __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 08-24-2006, 12:28 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Well I know what its like with and without the pice, and I can say it deflecs the wind from entering the car. Youget a wind deflector to deflect the wind, I use the sunroof to vent the car and for sunlight. | | | 12-28-2006, 10:09 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: atlanta Posts: 145 | I prefer it without the deflector, but that's just a personal opinion. However, I've always wondered what the TI would look like with one of the custom painted to match deflectors that BavAuto sells. I think they look decent on the E30s, but due to price I'm betting not many of us are willing to lay down the cash to add to the TI since it doesn't really have a noise issue with the roof open and no serious reason to interrupt the body line. | | | 12-28-2006, 11:49 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: Northern Michigan Posts: 867 | Quote: Originally Posted by 3DGE I use the sunroof to vent the car and for sunlight. | 3dge is hittin' the skunks hehe jk. __________________ [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] | | | 12-29-2006, 01:06 AM | #15 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Well like i said in this thread before i have seen one on a silver ti that was at the end of my street and i thought it looked good on it. It wasn't painted to match the car color it was just a smoked color. I had one on my old saab 900 and i liked it and it looked great on it. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
