Default Sunroof Wind Deflector

I am thinking of buying a wind deflector for my sunroof but i am not sure how it will affect the overall apperance of my car. i see on this forum that alot of members dont have the wind deflector. does anyone else think that the deflector may make the Ti look less appealing??

I always had them on e30 models. Liked the look. I have thought about it for the Ti. Pics above look good. IMO, it is more of a styling edition on the Ti. The stop point on the sunroof takes care of most of the issues that a deflector does.

Ti has one of the quietest sunroofs I've ever had, I'd be afraid to mess that up....

i've always thought sunroof wind deflectors to be rather ugly and pointless, especially on such a beautiful car where the sunroof is so subtle. i think the style is better w/o, but just imo. and another thing i like to open my sunroof for a bit of extra air flow...

I have a sun roof deflector on mine, I dont really like it but I guess it gets pretty loud if you dont have one.

I have one, it makes a huge differance, no wind enters through the roof.

Whats the point of having a sunroof if no wind comes in?

I drive 90+ on the interstate with the sunroof all the way open and the windows up. The air that comes in is minimal in my opinion... I wouldn't bother getting one.

i am not going to get the sunroof wind deflector. yall have some good opinions. what would be the point to stop the wind that is entering the roof? thats why i open it! but i may still go with the side window deflector. cus i do somtimes want to crack my windows when it is raining but dont want to let the rain in. and it seems like they would look good on the Ti. we shall see!

Well I know what its like with and without the pice, and I can say it deflecs the wind from entering the car. Youget a wind deflector to deflect the wind, I use the sunroof to vent the car and for sunlight.

I prefer it without the deflector, but that's just a personal opinion.

However, I've always wondered what the TI would look like with one of the custom painted to match deflectors that BavAuto sells. I think they look decent on the E30s, but due to price I'm betting not many of us are willing to lay down the cash to add to the TI since it doesn't really have a noise issue with the roof open and no serious reason to interrupt the body line.

Well like i said in this thread before i have seen one on a silver ti that was at the end of my street and i thought it looked good on it. It wasn't painted to match the car color it was just a smoked color. I had one on my old saab 900 and i liked it and it looked great on it.
