I think if your sunroof is closed and you press the button close button again it will tilt open. There's only 2 ways you can push the button so it's not to hard to figure out. I'm too lazy to go outside and tell you wich way to push the button. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-30-2006, 06:45 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: atlanta Posts: 145 | To tilt the sunroof, push portion of the button in direction of the windshield. It's nice to have when it rains but isn't hot enough to cut on the A/C. It won't leak as long as the channels are clear. Tilting up also makes it easier to condition the seals on the rear side of the sunroof. | | | 12-30-2006, 07:17 AM | #20 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Richland, WA Posts: 17 | OK, another curious sunroof question: was it standard? Or are there any ti's without a sunroof? __________________ Z ---- Critter, 1989 Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo Beast, 1971 Dodge Coronet station wagon Starting to look for a 318ti... | | | 12-30-2006, 11:08 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Quote: Originally Posted by Zyzzyx OK, another curious sunroof question: was it standard? I like your setup, she looks awesome. I like how you have the silver rims with black on the inside. I like the black rims with silver or chrome rivets going around the outside (where his is just plain silver). I'm having a hard time finding cool stuff in 15s. | | | 05-22-2007, 06:16 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Downtown Historic Fredericksburg, VA Posts: 339 | sunroofs are soo hard to find .. does anyone know of a kit that is sold to install one?? i really really want one and am starting to lean toward investing in a body shop __________________ now when i hit that switch, I'M BOUNCIN. | | | 08-18-2007, 09:21 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | Quote: Originally Posted by BleMW sunroofs are soo hard to find .. does anyone know of a kit that is sold to install one?? i really really want one and am starting to lean toward investing in a body shop | the best thing to do in this case is to remove the roof skin from a sun´roofed equipped Ti, and have it welded on to yours, sounds drastic i know but its common practice http://bmwfans.info/original/E36/com...1/ill-41_0934/ just find a breaker / scrapper and get the bodyshop to do it. otherwise find a reasonably cheap shell with a sunroof and fit your other parts over __________________ Vin Number decode and Retrofit Pdfs Available Free ! Of all the Ti's I've looked at, shopped for etc. I see maybe 10% that DONT have sunroofs. Most do.
