Default V12ti

http://ssperformance.no/galleri.htm

The video is under the 'filmer' section. This ti is owned by the same guy who owns the 1048hp E30 I posted.

2 Questions:

1) How do we know what's under the hood?

2) Anyone know what brand that rear tray is? I like it.

1) Go outside and rev your tis engine, it will not sound like that.
2) Im pretty sure thats a Reiger kit, this guy seems to like reiger since he has it on both of his cars that Ive seen.

i agree it is reiger...

i also agree with the question 'how do we know whats under the hood?"

obviously a 4 banger doesnt sound like that...i mean i believe he does have a v12 under there....id just rather see video/pictures of the engine and not the outside of his car....or maybe see him race it or something.

Well I dont think that performance BMW would lie considering it is a international mag. Also the only other engine it could be would be a V8 which would be just as impressive so why lie about that?

exactly, how do we know its a v12 rather than the revving. He didnt move, no engine pics, im not saying it isnt, but im just saying for other people who would have their doubts. and how does the TI not lift from the back with that extra heavy weight. Hey just wondering, if the engine is smog legal and passible, would the TI be smog legal, street legal? And if no, why not if the engine is passes smog?

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

i didnt say they are lying...im just saying that if they have a v12 in there it seems like theyd probably want to show off their engine a little more than just revving an engine with no shots from the engine bay

I think the link that 3dge posted is the same car, it has the same badges as the one in the video. And they probably dont have smog tests in Norway, thats the only way that both the cars I posted could remain legal.

I believe Norway follows the Euro 5 emissions standard in order to comply with and gain entrance to the EU.

In any event, the motor is from an 850csi. There's no reason that motor wouldn't pass emissions unless it's been tuned after the transplant.

In the US, it would be street legal so long as emissions are okay and the donor motor is newer than or the same year of the chassis it's going into. At least by federal standards.

Or live somewhere with no emissions testing. You would probably have to register the new engine with the DMV, maybe do something to the title for the mileage, but that is it. You could put practically whatever you want into anything and not worry about it in most of Florida. Just have to worry about noise levels.

Yeah that would make sense but I seriously doubt its stock considering what he did to the E30. And if the E30 is legal then either the emissions standars are very easy to pass or its not part of the Euro 5.

I made a bit of a mistake. The 318ti would probably fall under Euro 2 testing, based on the year of production of the car. The E30 would predate this testing rubric. I've got no idea what they did before 1992.

As I said, the same year or newer engine is required by federal law (EPA regulation). Whether or not this is enforced by your state varies, but something to keep in mind if you move to another state.
