I bought my first M a few days ago. The power is awesome!! I am extremely happy with this purchase. Here are just a few pics.... She has a few Dinan goodies like the front strut bar/carbon fiber intake/chip. H&R coilovers, M50 manifold, UUC pulleys/Lightweight flywheel/M5 clutch. The only gripe I have is the flywheel has some chatter/rattle that is getting annoying. It seems to happen after the M has warmed up, a little bit at neutral/idle and when I let off the gas and the RPMs are dropping from 3k-2k. Anyone have any input? Funny....I still miss the ti Anyone want some HELLA headlights? __________________ | | | 05-22-2007, 04:05 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | I'm interested in the lights for my friend... how much Oh, and welcome to the S52 club! ...and you're missing a fog! | | | 05-22-2007, 04:30 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Stamford, CT <-> Boston, MA Posts: 1,393 | Any idea what color that flag is? My friend has a ltw flywheel in his M3 and I asked what that noise was and he said "the flywheel" and I asked why and he said "It's supposed to make that noise". I don't know why, but it does. Maybe someone else would know exactly why, but no worries if you think it is bad for the car. Congrats on the purchase. | | | 05-22-2007, 01:19 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker I'm interested in the lights for my friend... how much Oh, and welcome to the S52 club! ...and you're missing a fog! | S52 The lights $400 shipped. I think I'm going to take them off. I have mixed feelings about them. $20k Quote: Originally Posted by PettitWC love the french fog!! where's the other one? | I just ordered a set of ZKWs. Owner said he had it off for the intake. I just cut the brake duct right in front of the intake filter. Do I really need the LTW flywheel? __________________ | | | 05-22-2007, 01:35 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! Posts: 701 | Congrats, I agree with the fact that the only "drawback for lightweight flywheels is noise;"chatter". When they are used for track purposes it is not an issue, although it can get annoying in stop & go traffic on a daily driver. I think the motorsport ghost flag looks awesome; it's not flashy. Good move changing to the OE ZKWs. The Hellas are very good, but I personally don't like the way they look. Good to see that you got some mods on it for starter. This may or may not delay the DASC in the Club Sport...but a light M50 e30 coupe with a 4.10 diff is going to be fast enough(although I will be installing a 3.73 LS if I buy it, 4.10 kills 1st and 2nd gears) The 5th Panzer BMW? Maybe. Once you have had an e30(88 M3 and 84 318i) they get in your blood. | | | 05-23-2007, 04:29 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | She's a beaut Platanos!
